Article (1) Conditions and Cases of Deduction of Social Support 1. A deduction shall be made from the amount of social support due to the beneficiary, or the disbursement thereof shall be suspended, where the beneficiary falls within the age category of twenty-one (21) Gregorian years to fifty-four (54) Gregorian years, and is not employed, not enrolled in higher education, is enrolled but not continuing, or is not enlisted in national service, upon the occurrence of any of the following cases: a. The beneficiary’s failure to register in any of the Ministry-approved empowerment programmes, or failure to comply with the programme requirements, within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of the notification issued by the Ministry in this regard. b. The beneficiary’s failure to register in the approved training course under the empowerment programme, or failure to complete the registration procedures or to

Refusal of three (3) suitable training opportunities, whether vocational or practical, or withdrawal from training, without an excuse acceptable to the Ministry. d. Refusal of three (3) job interviews or three (3) suitable employment opportunities, without an excuse acceptable to the Ministry. 2. For the purposes of applying the deduction in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs (c) and (d) of clause (1) of this Article, the Ministry shall determine the criteria for the suitability of training or employment opportunities.
