Scope & Acceptance

These terms apply to all lawyers registered on LEXAI. By creating a lawyer account, you agree to be bound by these Lawyer Terms in addition to the general Terms of Service.

These terms govern your use of the advertising directory, subscription structure (currently inactive during our founding period), AI tools, and professional obligations.

Professional Conduct

LEXAI is an advertising directory — your client relationship is direct, off-platform. You agree to keep that relationship transparent. Avoid:

  • Misrepresenting your credentials or specialisations to clients who found you through LEXAI
  • Using client information obtained through LEXAI for unrelated marketing purposes
  • Violating the Acceptable Use Policy in any client interaction routed through your LEXAI profile

Violation may result in profile suspension or removal from the directory.

Subscription Pricing

LEXAI is an advertising directory. Lawyers set and collect their own consultation fees directly from clients off-platform. Platform revenue comes from monthly subscription plans, which are currently inactive during our founding period:

  • Listed: AED 0/month (forever)
  • Preferred: AED 249/month standard, AED 124/month founding rate
  • Spotlight: AED 599/month standard, AED 299/month founding rate

During our founding period, each plan delivers its own listed features — the free Listed tier carries its spec'd feature set. Paid tiers activate later with 30 days' written notice. Founding rates are reserved for the first 50 solo lawyers. Founding rates reserved before 17 July 2026 lock 50% off the standard monthly rate for the lifetime of the subscription — that promise is unchanged. Founding rates reserved on or after 17 July 2026 lock 50% off for the first 24 months of the subscription. Founding rates are billed monthly only.

Cancellation and refund terms for paid subscriptions are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy: you can cancel at any time from your dashboard, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, no partial-month refunds are given, and verified billing errors are always refunded in full.

Verification Obligations

You must:

  • Provide accurate and current professional credentials
  • Maintain an active bar licence throughout your time on the platform
  • Notify LEXAI within 7 days of any changes to your licence status
  • Renew credentials before expiry — expiry triggers a notification to you and to LEXAI admins and may result in suspension of your profile pending review
  • Not misrepresent your qualifications, specialisations, or experience

Client Communication Standards

  • Respond to client inquiries received through your LEXAI profile promptly and professionally
  • All consultation arrangements — fees, scheduling, format — are agreed directly between you and the client off-platform
  • Communications and consultations must be conducted professionally and within UAE legal practice standards

Account Suspension

Your account may be suspended if:

  • Your professional licence expires or is revoked
  • You violate the Acceptable Use Policy
  • You misrepresent your credentials, specialisations, or experience

Suspended accounts are hidden from search results until the issue is resolved.

Disciplinary Process

  • First violation: Written warning via email
  • Second violation: 7-day account suspension
  • Third violation: Permanent removal from the directory
  • Serious violations (fraud, impersonation): Immediate permanent removal
