AI Features Overview

LEXAI provides AI-powered tools for both clients and lawyers:

Client AI tools:

  • Situation Analyzer — Describe your legal situation and receive general information about relevant UAE laws, potential next steps, and what type of lawyer may help
  • Smart Matching — AI-assisted lawyer recommendations based on your legal needs, location, and preferences
  • Document Analysis — Upload legal documents for AI-powered review and plain-language explanation

Lawyer AI tools:

  • Legal Research — Research UAE legal topics with AI assistance (usage quota applies)
  • Intake Summarizer — Automatically summarize client intake information (unlimited)
  • Notes Generator — Generate consultation notes from key points (unlimited)
  • Contract Drafter — AI-assisted contract drafting (Pro plan only)
  • Q&A Draft Replies — Draft responses to client questions on the Ask a Lawyer forum (Pro plan only)

All of these tools provide general legal information only. None of them constitute legal advice.

Technology

LEXAI's AI features are powered by Anthropic's Claude models, accessed through Vercel AI Gateway.

There is zero data retention at the AI provider level — Anthropic does not store your queries or responses after processing. Your data is not used to train AI models.

Limitations

AI-generated content on LEXAI has important limitations:

  • It provides general legal information, not legal advice. There is a meaningful difference — legal advice requires a licensed attorney who understands the specific facts of your situation.
  • It cannot replace a licensed attorney. Under UAE Federal Law, only licensed lawyers may provide legal advice, represent clients, or appear before courts.
  • It may produce inaccurate or outdated information. AI models process information based on their training data and may not reflect the most recent legal developments in the UAE.
  • UAE law is complex and jurisdiction-specific. Laws differ between mainland UAE, DIFC, ADGM, and other free zones. AI responses may not account for these distinctions.

Data Handling

AI queries are processed in real-time and are not stored by the AI provider (Anthropic) after processing.

LEXAI stores your AI chat history on our platform so you can review past conversations. This history is permanently deleted when you delete your LEXAI account.

Documents uploaded for AI analysis are processed for the purpose of generating a response and are stored in your account. They are deleted when you delete your account.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

Using LEXAI's AI features does not create an attorney-client relationship, a legal retainer, or any other professional legal relationship.

LEXAI is a technology platform, not a law firm. The AI tools are informational resources — they do not represent you, advocate on your behalf, or provide confidential legal counsel.

Accuracy and Liability

LEXAI does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any AI-generated content.

LEXAI accepts no liability for:

  • Actions taken based on AI-generated information
  • Losses or damages arising from reliance on AI responses
  • Outcomes resulting from legal decisions made based on AI information
