Grievance (Tazallum)
A grievance (tazallum) is the procedure for challenging an order a UAE judge issued without hearing you — typically orders on petition such as precautionary attachments, travel bans and various permissions, and payment orders in some configurations. Because those orders are granted ex parte on the applicant's papers alone, the law balances things by letting the affected party bring the matter back before the court, now with both sides heard: the grievance is filed within a short deadline from the date you learn of or are served with the order, and the judge can confirm, amend or cancel it. Filing a grievance does not automatically suspend the order, so frozen accounts usually stay frozen while it is decided unless a stay is granted. It matters because it is often the fastest exit from a sudden attachment or ban. You meet it the day your bank tells you an order landed and your lawyer asks how many days remain in the grievance window.
