Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and — only with your consent — understand how you use our platform.
Cookies We Use
We use the following types of cookies:
- Session cookies — Keep you logged in during your visit. These are essential and cannot be disabled.
- Authentication cookies — Securely maintain your login session across page loads.
- Preference cookies (language) — Remember your language choice (EN/AR) and display direction (LTR/RTL).
- Analytics cookies (optional, consent-based) — Help us understand how visitors use LEXAI, which pages are most popular, and where users encounter issues. Set only after you grant consent through the cookie banner.
- AI anonymous identifier (lx_ai_anon) — A randomly-generated UUID set on first AI document upload by anonymous (not signed-in) visitors. Used solely to enforce anonymous-user upload quotas. No advertising, no cross-site tracking. Cleared automatically when you sign in.
Required vs Optional Cookies
Required cookies (session, authentication, language) are essential for the platform to function. You cannot opt out of these.
Optional cookies (analytics, additional preferences) can be granted or denied through the cookie consent banner. Disabling optional cookies may affect personalisation features but will not prevent you from using LEXAI.
Cookie Consent
When you first visit LEXAI, a consent banner will appear asking you to accept or customise your cookie preferences. This is required under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
Your granular consent (analytics on/off, preferences on/off) is recorded in our database so we can respect it across sessions. You can change your mind at any time:
- Clear LEXAI cookies in your browser to see the banner again on the next visit
- Adjust your browser's cookie settings
- Use the Data & Privacy section in your account settings if you are signed in
Third-Party Cookies
LEXAI does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not embed social-media widgets that would set such cookies on your browser during normal public browsing.
A limited number of operational cookies may be set by our authentication provider (for secure session management) and — only on the lawyer dashboard subscription pages — by our secure payment provider (for fraud-prevention during checkout). These are operational, not advertising.
For a complete list of every third-party service we use and the data each one receives, see our Sub-processors page at https://lexaidxb.com/legal/sub-processors.
How to Manage Cookies
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or using certain features.
For more information on managing cookies in your browser, visit your browser's help documentation.
