Amer Centre
مركز آمر
Amer centres are the authorised service centres through which GDRFA Dubai processes residency transactions: entry permits, residence visa issuance and renewal, visa cancellations, status changes, file amendments, overstay fine settlements, and related Emirates ID coordination. They are the Dubai counterpart to the ICP-channel customer-happiness centres used in other emirates, and they serve individuals and companies alike — a Dubai-sponsored visa matter that cannot be completed online almost always ends up at an Amer counter. For sponsors and PROs, Amer is where the practical fixes happen: correcting name spellings against passports, merging duplicate immigration records, processing dependants after a sponsor's status change, and urgent cancellations during employment exits. The legal relevance is procedural accuracy and proof: Amer transactions generate official receipts and file updates that evidence when a cancellation or status change actually occurred — often decisive in overstay-fine disputes and in fixing responsibility between employer and employee for delayed visa processing.
