    Article 1

    Article (1) Definitions For the purposes of implementing the provisions of this Resolution, the following terms shall have the meanings assigned to each of them, unless the context requires otherwise: State : The United Arab Emirates. Council : The Arabic Language Advisory Council. Chairman : The Chairman of the Arabic Language Advisory Council.

    Article 2

    Article (2) Establishment and Objective of the Council An advisory council named "The Arabic Language Advisory Council" shall be established pursuant to this Resolution, with the objective of fostering and supporting efforts aimed at implementing the principles and recommendations of the Arabic Language Charter.

    Article 3

    Article (3) Formation of the Council The Advisory Council shall be formed under the chairmanship of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, and the membership of the following: 1. His Excellency Bilal Rabie Al Budoor.

His Excellency Dhaen Shaheen. 5. Dr. Fatima Hamad Al Mazrouei. 6. His Excellency Nasser Ali Khamis Al Dhaheri. The Chairman may appoint a deputy from among the members of the Council.

    Article 4

    Article (4) Term of Membership of the Council The term of membership of the Council shall be for a period of two years, renewable.

    Article 5

    Article (5) Competences of the Council The Council shall undertake the following functions: 1. Discussing and proposing projects and studies aimed at promoting and fostering efforts to preserve the Arabic language at the State level. 2. Supporting and promoting initiatives and fostering efforts aimed at implementing the principles and recommendations of the Arabic Language Charter at the State level. 3. Coordinating between government authorities and private entities in the State with a view to promoting the implementation of the Charter. 4. Submitting a semi-annual report to the Prime Minister on the progress achieved in implementing the Charter.

    Article 6

    Article (6) Meetings of the Council 1. The Council shall convene its meetings upon the invitation of the Chairman at least once every three months, and whenever the need arises. The meetings of the Council shall be quorate if attended by a majority of its members, provided that the Chairman or their deputy is among them.     Article 7

    Article (7) Secretariat of the Council The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development shall perform the following functions: 1. Preparing and following up on the issuance of invitations to attend the Council's meetings. 2. Preparing the draft agenda and the minutes of the meeting for the Council. 3. Following up on the implementation of the decisions and recommendations issued by the Council.

    Article 8
