    Article (1) Article (3) of the above-mentioned Law No. (22) of 2006 will be superseded by the following:

    Article (2) This Law comes into force on the day on which it is issued, and will be published in the Official Gazette. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ruler of Dubai Issued in Dubai on 8 September 2014 Corresponding to 13 Thul-Qidah 1435 A.H.

    Article (3) a. The RTA will charge motor Vehicle Owners whose Vehicles use the road network of the Emirate and pass through a Traffic Toll Gate in one direction a “Traffic Toll Fee”, whether or not the Vehicle is registered in the Emirate. b. The fee referred to in paragraph (a) of this Article will be collected by debit of the User’s account in accordance with the procedures stipulated by the implementing bylaw of this Law. c. A motor Vehicle Owner must use the credit in the Traffic Toll Card within five (5) years from the date of the last debit to the balance upon passing through a Traffic Toll Gate or from the date of last top- up of the account, failing which the available balance of the User account will be forfeited. © 2014 The Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai 1Every effort has been made to produce an accurate and complete English version of this legislation. However, for the purpose of its interpretation and application, reference must be made to the original Arabic text. In case of conflict the Arabic text will prevail.
