    Article (1) Articles (2), (3), and (6) of the Original Law are hereby superseded by the following:

    Article (2) The following words and expressions will have the meaning indicated opposite each of them unless the context implies otherwise: Ruler: His Highness the Ruler of Dubai. Emirate: The Emirate of Dubai. Government: The Government of Dubai. Chairman: The chairman of the Executive Office.

    Article (2) This Law will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into force on the day on which it is published. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ruler of Dubai Issued in Dubai on 28 November 2011 Corresponding to 2 Muharram 1433 A.H.

    Article 3

    Article (3) The provisions of this Law will apply to the Executive Office established pursuant to Law No. (28) of 2006. The Executive Office will have the legal personality required for the achievement of its objectives, and is hereby affiliated to the Ruler. ©2019 The Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai 1Every effort has been made to produce an accurate and complete English version of this legislation. However, for the purpose of its interpretation and application, reference must be made to the original Arabic text. In case of conflict, the Arabic text will prevail.

    Article 6

    Article (6) The financial resources of the Executive Office will consist of the support allocated in the general budget of the Emirate and any other resources approved by the Ruler.
