    Article (2) This Law will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into force on the day on which it is published. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ruler of Dubai Issued in Dubai on 27 April 2010 Corresponding to 13 Jumada al-Ula 1431 A.H.

    Article (4) 1. A notice to the owners and mortgagees of Vehicles, Motorcycles, and Pedal Cycles impounded by the Police will be published in one Arabic and one English daily newspaper, both widely-circulated, requiring those owners and mortgagees to report to the competent Police department to recover their impounded items no later than one (1) month from the date of publication of the notice. 2. If the owners or mortgagees of Vehicles, Motorcycles, or Pedal Cycles fail to complete the procedures to terminate the impoundment and recover the impounded items within the period mentioned in paragraph (1) of this Article, such items will be sold by public auction in accordance with the provisions and procedures stipulated in the above-mentioned Law No. (6) of 1997. ©2015 The Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai 1Every effort has been made to produce an accurate and complete English version of this legislation.
