    Article 1

    Article (1) Subject to the provisions of the laws cited in the preamble of this Law: 1. all rights and obligations of the Department of Civil Aviation and the Dubai International Airport, including those pertaining to the land, real property, and facilities owned by or allocated to them, are hereby transferred to the Dubai Aviation City Corporation; and 2. employees of the Department of Civil Aviation will be transferred to the Dubai Aviation City Corporation, and will retain their existing rights.

    Article 2

    Article (2) The Decree Establishing the Dubai International Airport Committee, issued on 14 April 1966 , and the Order Establishing the Department of Civil Aviation, issued on 18 March 1971, are hereby repealed. ©2016 The Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai 1Every effort has been made to produce an accurate and complete English version of this Law. However, for the purpose of its interpretation and application, reference must be made to the original Arabic text. In case of conflict the Arabic text will prevail.

    Article (3) This Law will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into force on the day on which it is published. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ruler of Dubai Issued in Dubai on 30 September 2007 Corresponding to 18 Ramadan 1428 A.H.
