Tawjeeh

Tawjeeh centres are MOHRE-authorised guidance and awareness centres where UAE private-sector workers complete mandatory orientation steps tied to their employment paperwork. Their signature function is contract verification: for designated categories of workers, the employment contract and its key terms are explained to the employee — in a language they understand — and the employee's informed acknowledgment is recorded before the contract proceeds, a safeguard against contract substitution and against signing terms the worker never understood. Tawjeeh services also cover labour-law awareness sessions, certain work-permit and contract transactions, and domestic-worker procedures under the Tadbeer framework where applicable. The legal payoff appears in disputes: a Tawjeeh acknowledgment record undercuts later claims that the worker did not know the salary, role, or contract type, while its absence in a mandatory case is a procedural defect employers must answer for. For employers and PROs, Tawjeeh attendance is a compliance step to schedule into every onboarding pipeline for covered categories.
