JAFZA is the authority running the Jebel Ali Free Zone, one of the oldest and largest free zones in the world, wrapped around Jebel Ali Port in Dubai. It registers and licenses free zone companies and branches, leases warehouses, plots and offices, sponsors employee visas, and administers its own company regulations — including the FZE and FZCO corporate forms. JAFZA's pull is logistics: port-adjacent trading, manufacturing and distribution businesses use it for 100% foreign ownership, customs advantages and re-export flows. Tens of thousands of companies are registered there, making JAFZA documentation a routine sight in regional trade.
