A good conduct certificate (police clearance certificate) is an official document issued by UAE police authorities confirming that the applicant has no disqualifying criminal record in the UAE. It is routinely required for employment in regulated sectors, certain visa and immigration applications abroad, professional licensing, and some government roles. Applications are made online through official police or government channels using Emirates ID details, with the certificate issued for a specific purpose and validity period; certificates for use abroad usually then need attestation.
