Golden Visa

The Golden Visa is a long-term UAE residency permit valid for five or ten years, renewable, granted to specified categories: investors, entrepreneurs, qualified professionals (doctors, scientists, engineers, researchers), outstanding students, skilled workers meeting salary and qualification thresholds, humanitarian frontline workers, and exceptional talents in culture, sports, or innovation. Unlike standard residency, it does not require an employer or relative sponsor — the holder is self-sponsored and can sponsor family members, a domestic worker, and a business without the usual renewal and exit/re-entry constraints. Applications are processed through ICP and GDRFA and require supporting evidence of investment, income, qualifications, or nomination. The Golden Visa is central to the UAE's strategy to attract and retain long-term residents.
