Deportation
Deportation is the compulsory removal of a non-citizen from the UAE by order of the competent authority. UAE law recognises two types: judicial deportation, imposed by a criminal court as an accessory penalty to certain offences (drug crimes, serious assaults, specific financial crimes); and administrative deportation, ordered by the Ministry of Interior or Public Prosecution when a foreign resident is deemed a threat to public order, security, health, or morals, even without a criminal conviction. A deportation order typically cancels all UAE visas and imposes an entry ban that may be temporary or permanent. Limited appeal routes exist — usually before the Federal Supreme Court for judicial orders and through administrative grievance channels for Ministry orders.
