التحكيم
Arbitration is a private, binding dispute-resolution procedure chosen by agreement of the parties, in which one or more arbitrators decide the dispute and issue an award that has the force of a judgment. UAE onshore arbitration is governed by the Arbitration Law (Federal Law No. 6 of 2018, based on the UNCITRAL Model Law) and leading institutions include the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and the Abu Dhabi International Arbitration Centre (arbitrateAD). DIFC arbitration follows the DIFC Arbitration Law 2008 and the LCIA-derived DIFC-LCIA history, now migrated to DIAC. ADGM has its own Arbitration Regulations. The UAE is a party to the 1958 New York Convention, so arbitral awards rendered in any contracting state can be recognised and enforced in the UAE subject to limited grounds of refusal.
