Article (1) Articles (5) and (9) of the Original Law are hereby superseded by the following:

Article (2) Any provision in any other legislation is hereby repealed to the extent that it contradicts the provisions of this Law.

Article (3) This Law will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into force on the day on which it is published. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ruler of Dubai Issued in Dubai on 13 October 2022 Corresponding to 17 Rabi al-Awwal 1444 A.H.

Article (5) a. Medals are as follows: 1. Medal of Valour (one class); 2. Dubai Police Medal (five (5) classes); 3. Loyal Service Medal (two (2) classes); 4. Dubai Police Golden Jubilee Medal (one class - made of gold); and 5. Dubai Expo 2020 Medal (one class - made of gold). ©2022 The Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai 1 Every effort has been made to produce an accurate and complete English version of this legislation. However, for the purpose of its interpretation and application, reference must be made to the original Arabic text. In case of conflict, the Arabic text will prevail.

Order of Excellent Service (two (2) classes); 2. Order of Security Cooperation (two (2) classes); and 3. any other orders determined by the Chief. c. Badges are as follows: 1. Badge of Appreciation (two (2) classes); and 2. any other badges determined by the Chief.

Article (9) a. Loyal Service Medals will be awarded to the paramilitary staff of the Dubai Police force, including commissioned officers, Non-commissioned Officers, and recruits, who have completed a period of at least ten (10) years of uninterrupted actual service during which they have been committed to the higher values and ideals of the force. 1. First Class: Awarded to commissioned officers (made of gold) 2. Second Class: Awarded to Non-commissioned Officers and recruits (made of Silver) Where this medal is granted more than once, a distinguishing mark denoting the same will be added to the awarded medal and insignia. b. Dubai Police Golden Jubilee Medals will be awarded to the paramilitary or civilian Staff Members of the Dubai Police force, including commissioned officers, Non-commissioned Officers, and recruits, who have completed a period of at least twenty-five (25) years of uninterrupted actual service by 31 May 2006. c. The Dubai Expo 2020 Medal will be awarded to the Staff Members of the Dubai Police force, including commissioned officers, Non-commissioned Officers, and recruits, as well as to members of the public and paramilitary officers from outside of the Dubai Police force, who have provided great services and made outstanding contribution during the hosting of the Dubai Expo 2020.
