FSRA (Financial Services Regulatory Authority)
سلطة تنظيم الخدمات المالية
The FSRA is the financial regulator of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the capital's international financial centre. It licenses and supervises banks, asset managers, advisers, market operators and fintech firms operating in or from ADGM under an English-language rulebook rooted in international standards. The FSRA earned global attention as an early mover in virtual asset regulation — its crypto framework predates most peers and has drawn major digital-asset exchanges to ADGM — and its RegLab sandbox lets fintech startups test products under lighter-touch supervision. Firms meet the FSRA at authorisation and in ongoing supervision; founders meet it when structuring crypto or fintech ventures in Abu Dhabi. Lawyers advise on FSRA licence categories, virtual-asset permissions, and responses to supervisory and enforcement action.
