The FSRA is the financial regulator of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the capital's international financial centre. The FSRA earned global attention as an early mover in virtual asset regulation — its crypto framework predates most peers and has drawn major digital-asset exchanges to ADGM — and its RegLab sandbox lets fintech startups test products under lighter-touch supervision. Firms meet the FSRA at authorisation and in ongoing supervision; founders meet it when structuring crypto or fintech ventures in Abu Dhabi.
