    Article (1) 1. A fee of five (5) dirhams, named the "Passenger Security and Safety Service Fee," shall be imposed on every passenger traveling through the air ports of the United Arab Emirates. The General Civil Aviation Authority shall collect this fee directly or through other parties in accordance with a mechanism determined thereby, with or without consideration. 2. The following categories shall be exempt from the payment of the fee stipulated in the preceding paragraph: a. Children not exceeding two years of age; b. Aircraft crew members; c. Passengers for whom the United Arab Emirates is not their principal destination (transit passengers); d. Passengers on continuous flights (within…

    Article 2

    Article (2) The fee stipulated in Article (1) of this Resolution shall be collected upon the issuance of the travel ticket, regardless of the place of its purchase or issuance.

    Article (3) This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette, and the collection of the fee prescribed herein shall commence sixty days after the date of issuance of this Resolution.
