    Article 1

    Article (1) Definitions For the purposes of applying the provisions of this resolution, the following words and expressions shall bear the meanings assigned thereto respectively, unless the context requires otherwise: Ministry : Ministry of Justice. Profession : A technical duty performed by expert witnesses, based on the assignment of the Competent Judicial Authority or the litigants’ agreement, as the case may be, to submit their technical or scientific reports to the Competent Judicial Authority as per the areas of their specialties. Expert Witness : A natural person duly licensed to practice the profession of expert witness, whether appointed at the Ministry or registered in the Roster

Decree-Law : Federal Decree-Law No. (21) of 2022 Regulating the Profession of Expert Witnesses before Judicial Authorities.

    Article 2

    Article (2) Service Fees The fees indicated in the Table attached herewith shall be charged against their respective services provided by the Ministry to expert witnesses and expert firms.

    Article 3

    Article (3) Modification of Fees The Cabinet shall have the authority to make any amendment to the fees contained in this resolution, whether by addition, deletion or modification.

    Article 4

    Article (4) Collection of Fees 1. The fees contained in this resolution shall be collected by the means determined by the Ministry of Finance. 2. For the purposes of collecting the fees contained in this resolution, the part of a month shall be considered a full month, and the part of a year shall be considered a full year.

    Article 5

    Article (5) Repeals Cabinet Resolution No. (42) of 2016 on the Fees for Services Provided by the Ministry of Justice to Expert Witnesses, together with any provision that contradicts or conflicts with the provisions of this resolution, shall all be repealed.

    Article 6

    Article (6) Publication and Entry into Force This resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall enter into force as from the day following the date of its publication. Issue a certificate of Expert Witness Registration in the Roster. 3,000 per (3) years 3. Renew Expert Witness Registration in the Roster. 3,000 per (3) years 4. Add an Expert Witness’ Specialization. 3,000 per transaction. 5. Application for De-registration. 500 per application. 6. Re-registration of Expert Witness after Deregistration 3,000 per transaction. 7. Application for temporary suspension from practicing the profession 1,000 per application 8. Re-registration of Expert Witness after temporary suspension from practicing the profession. 1,000 per transaction Second. Services Provided to Local Expert Firms 9. Issue a certificate of local expert firm registration in the roster. 5,000 per (3) years 10. Renew registration of a local expert firm in the roster 5,000 per (3) years 11. Re-registration of a local expert firm after being registered in the roster 5,000 per transaction. 12. Application for a Local expert firm to temporarily stop practicing the profession. 1,500 per application.

Re-registration of a Local expert firm in the roster after being temporarily suspended. 1,500 per transaction. 14. Application Deregistration in the roster 500 per application Third. Services Provided to International Expert Firms 15. Issue a certificate of an international expert firm registration in the roster 10,000 per (3) years 16. Renew an international expert firm registration in the roster 10,000 for every (3) years 17. Re-registration of international expert firm after its deregistration 10,000 per transaction. 18. Application for an international expert firm to temporarily suspend its activity. 2,000 per application. 19. Reregistration of an international expert firm in the roster after temporary suspension 2,000 per transaction. 20. Application for Cancellation of Registration in the Roster 500 per application Fourth. 21. Add a specialization of an expert firm 5,000 per application 22. File a complaint against an expert witness or an expert firm 500 per application 23. Issue a “To Whom It May Concern Certificate” 200 per application 24. Issue a replacement for lost or damaged card for registration in the Roster 500 per application
