    Article (1) Article (2) of the above-mentioned Law No. (15) of 2021 is hereby superseded by the following: Definitions

    Article (2) The following words and expressions, wherever mentioned in this Law, will have the meaning indicated opposite each of them unless the context implies otherwise: UAE: The United Arab Emirates. Emirate: The Emirate of Dubai. Ruler: His Highness the Ruler of Dubai. Government: The Government of Dubai. ©2023 The Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai 1 Every effort has been made to produce an accurate and complete English version of this legislation. However, for the purpose of its interpretation and application, reference must be made to the original Arabic text. In case of conflict, the Arabic text will prevail.

    Law No. (18) of 2023 Amending Law No. (15) of 2021 Establishing the Dubai Council for the Security of Border Crossing Points Page 2 of 3 Executive Council: The Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai. ICP: The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security established pursuant to the above-mentioned Federal Law by Decree No. (14) of 2021. Crossing Point: Any Border crossing point of the Emirate. This includes land, sea, and air border crossing points. Borders: The borders of the Emirate, including the land and maritime borders and airspace boundaries of the Emirate. Government Entity: Any of the Government departments; public agencies and corporations; councils; authorities, including the authorities supervising Special Development Zones and free zones, such as the Dubai International Financial Centre; or other public entities affiliated to the Government. DCSCPB: The Dubai Council for the Security of Crossing Points and Borders, established pursuant to this Law. Chairman: The chairman of the DCSCPB. Member: A member of the DCSCPB. General Secretariat: The general secretariat of the DCSCPB. Secretary General: The secretary general of the DCSCPB. Phrase Replacement

    Article 2

    Article (2) The phrase “Border Crossing Points”, wherever mentioned in the above-mentioned Law No. (15) of 2021 and in any other legislation in force in the Emirate of Dubai, is hereby replaced by the phrase “Crossing Points and Borders”.

    Article 3

    Article (3) This Law will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into force on the day on which it is published. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ruler of Dubai Issued in Dubai on 13 September 2023 Corresponding to 28 Safar 1445 A.H.
