    Article 1

    Article (1) This Law will be cited as “Law No. (3) of 2004 Imposing the Dubai International Airport Departure Fee”.

    Article 2

    Article (2) 1. A departure fee of thirty Dirhams (AED 30.00) will be collected from every passenger leaving the United Arab Emirates through the Dubai International Airport. 2. The provisions of the preceding paragraph will not apply to passengers below the age of two (2) years, and to on-duty pilots and cabin crew.

    Article (3) The proceeds generated from collecting the fee referred to in the preceding Article will be paid to the Department of Civil Aviation.

    Article 4

    Article (4) Airlines operating in the Dubai International Airport will be responsible for collecting the departure fee upon issuing air tickets to their clients whether within or outside of the United Arab Emirates. ©2019 The Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai 1 Every effort has been made to produce an accurate and complete English version of this legislation. However, for the purpose of its interpretation and application, reference must be made to the original Arabic text. In case of conflict, the Arabic text will prevail.

    Article 5

    Article (5) The president of the Department of Civil Aviation will issue the implementing bylaw of this Law.
