Article (1) This Law will be cited as “Law No. (3) of 2004 Imposing the Dubai International Airport Departure Fee”.

Article (2) 1. A departure fee of thirty Dirhams (AED 30.00) will be collected from every passenger leaving the United Arab Emirates through the Dubai International Airport. 2. The provisions of the preceding paragraph will not apply to passengers below the age of two (2) years, and to on-duty pilots and cabin crew.

Article (3) The proceeds generated from collecting the fee referred to in the preceding Article will be paid to the Department of Civil Aviation.

Article (4) Airlines operating in the Dubai International Airport will be responsible for collecting the departure fee upon issuing air tickets to their clients whether within or outside of the United Arab Emirates. ©2019 The Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai 1 Every effort has been made to produce an accurate and complete English version of this legislation. Article (5) The president of the Department of Civil Aviation will issue the implementing bylaw of this Law.

Article (6) This Law will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into force on 1 September 2004. Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ruler of Dubai Issued in Dubai on 15 May 2004 Corresponding to 26 Rabi al-Awwal 1425 A.H.
