Article (1) Article (6) of the above-mentioned Law No. (3) of 2012 is hereby superseded by the following: Functions of the MBRSG

Article (2) This Law comes into force on the day on which it is issued, and will be published in the Official Gazette. Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ruler of Dubai Issued in Dubai on 24 November 2020 Corresponding to 9 Rabi al-Thani 1442 A.H.

Article (6) For the purpose of achieving its objectives, the MBRSG will have the duties and powers to: 1. prepare and implement academic programmes in all areas related to government administration, public policy, and government work requirements; 2. prepare and implement executive training and continuing education programmes related to government administration and public policy; and other programmes, within or outside of the UAE; 3. qualify UAE nationals and enhance their competencies, in coordination with competent entities in the Emirate, to meet the labour market demands; 4. provide, in coordination with competent entities in the Emirate, the qualified cadres required for developing the competencies of Government human resources and for enabling them to lead the continued development of the Emirate; ©2021 The Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai 1Every effort has b een made to produce an accurate and complete English version of this legislation. Law No. (18) of 2020 Amending Law No. (3) of 2012 Concerning the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government Page 2 of 2 5. design and implement joint and specialised training programmes for Government Entities in order to develop the competencies and skills required for government work; 6. award academic degrees in public administration and in programmes that are related to the government sector; 7. award accredited professional certificates upon completion of the training courses and programmes organised by the MBRSG in areas related to its objectives; 8. cooperate with Arab, regional, and international academic institutions specialised in the areas of government administration; 9. conduct and publish research and studies in areas related to government and public administration, and in any other area that serves the government sector in the Emirate; 10. provide consultations and technical services in areas related to government and public administration and in any other area that serves the public and private sectors; 11. organise and participate in public conferences, seminars, and lectures held within or outside of the UAE; 12. conclude agreements and establish partnerships with Arab and foreign authorities, foundations, institutes, and universities; and strengthen ties and relations with both the public and private sectors; and 13. exercise any other duties or powers assigned to it by the Executive Council.
