How is this different from booking a consultation?

Consultations are fixed-format (Zoom 30/60 min or in-person) for general advice. Get Quotes is for bespoke legal work — drafting, reviewing, filing, multi-stage matters — where the scope and price are negotiated with the lawyer upfront.

What if no lawyers respond?

If your request expires after 7 days with no proposals, we'll notify you — you can repost with an adjusted budget or timeline, or book a consultation instead. You're not charged anything until you select a proposal.

Can I negotiate with lawyers?

You can message any lawyer who submits a proposal through the built-in chat to clarify scope before selecting. Price and timeline are locked in when you select — no surprise extras after that.

What happens after I accept a proposal?

You pay via Stripe (escrow-held), the other proposals are automatically rejected, and a private chat opens with your chosen lawyer. Once the work is delivered and you confirm, LEXAI releases the lawyer's 80% share on the 1st of the next month.
