Article (1) This Law will be cited as “Law No. (32) of 2015 Concerning the Official Gazette of the Government of Dubai”. Definitions

Title of the Law: the Law
Article (2) The following words and expressions, wherever mentioned in this Law, will have the meaning indicated opposite each of them unless the context implies otherwise: Emirate: The Emirate of Dubai. Ruler: His Highness the Ruler of Dubai. ©2016 The Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai 1Every effort has been made to produce an accurate and complete English version of this legislation. However, for the purpose of its interpretation and application, reference must be made to the original Arabic text. In case of conflict the Arabic text will prevail.

Government Entity: Any of the Government departments, public agencies or corporations, authorities, or councils affiliated to the Government, or any similar entity. SLC: The Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai. General Secretariat: The General Secretariat of the SLC. Official Gazette: The official gazette in which the Government publishes the local Legislation of the Emirate, treaties, notices, and any other document required to be published pursuant to a resolution of a competent authority or the SLC. Legislation: This includes laws, decrees, orders, regulations, bylaws, instructions, resolutions, and similar enactments issued by the competent authorities at the Government and Government Entities. Regulatory Resolutions: This includes resolutions, bylaws, instructions, manuals, and similar regulatory instruments issued by competent authorities at Government Entities, which the SLC decides to publish in the Official Gazette. These include abstract general rules that apply to individuals, companies, corporations, or any other entity, excluding administrative resolutions applicable to specific persons or cases. Article (3) This Law applies to the Official Gazette published by the SLC. Official Gazette Language

Article (4) The Official Gazette will be published in the Arabic language. The translation into a foreign language of certain legislative texts included in the Official Gazette may also be published as deemed necessary by the SLC.

Article (5) The General Secretariat will supervise the management of the Official Gazette processes and website, and will issue the resolutions required to regulate editing and printing the Official Gazette, determining its dates of publication, distributing Official Gazette issues in paper and electronic form, and uploading the Official Gazette to smart applications. Article (6) Any Legislation issued after the effective date of this Law will be deemed proclaimed to, and binding on, all persons as applicable in the Emirate, and will come into force thirty (30) days after the date of its publication unless otherwise stated in such Legislation. Article (7) All Government Entities must provide the SLC with copies of the Regulatory Resolutions issued by them, for purposes of publication in the Official Gazette, archiving, and documentation. Subscription and Gratis Copies

Article (8) a. The SLC will determine the Official Gazette subscription fees and the entities to which gratis copies of the Official Gazette will be provided. b. The Official Gazette will be accessible to the public free of charge through the Official Gazette website or smart applications. Issuing Implementing Resolutions

Article (9) The Chairman of the SLC or his authorised representative will issue the resolutions required for the implementation of the provisions of this Law.

Article (10) Any provision in any other Legislation will be repealed to the extent that it contradicts the provisions of this Law. Publication and Commencement
