Article (8)
The Board of Trustees is the authority responsible for managing the HBRAMS, and will
have planning and supervisory powers, including developing the HBRAMS general policy
in a manner that achieves its objectives. For these purposes, the Board of Trustees will:

1. draft the charter of the HBRAMS and submit the same to the Deputy Ruler for
approval;
2. develop the bylaws regulating the work of the Board of Trustees and submit the same
to the Deputy Ruler for approval;
3. propose the annual draft budget of the HBRAMS and submit the same to the Deputy
Ruler for approval;
4. form the general secretariat of the HBRAMS; and develop the bylaws regulating the
general secretariat’s work and determining its organisational structure and relevant
job descriptions, its terms of reference, and the remunerations of its employees;
5. determine the general and special eligibility criteria for nomination for the HBRAMS
awards and selection of winners; and consult on the same, where required, with any
specialised scientific entity;
6. form scientific and technical committees; determine their duties; issue the bylaws
regulating the work of these committees; and determine the remunerations and
benefits of their members;
7. select the institutions, universities, research centres, or individuals to whom the
HBRAMS awards will be granted, in consultation with the relevant scientific or technical
committee; and
8. perform any other duties assigned to the Board of Trustees by the Deputy Ruler.
