Dr. Alaa Nasr

Dr. Alaa Nasr is a legal consultant licensed by the Government of Sharjah, founder and owner of SH&A Legal Consultancy in Fujairah, and Litigation Director at Abdullah Al Mazrouei Advocates & Legal Consultancy in Sharjah. He holds a PhD in Law from Victoria University (USA), is a Fellow of the University of Brighton (UK), and is a faculty member at Brighton International College (UK). He has more than 25 years of legal experience in the UAE. His case work focuses on insolvency and bankruptcy, corporate liquidation and winding-up, and financial claims litigation for claims above AED 250,000. He also acts in anti-money-laundering matters; bounced cheques, financial fraud, misappropriation and theft; drug and controlled-substance offences; real estate and property litigation; and corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, business exits, and shareholder or manager removal disputes. He advises on legal strategy across these areas and appears in arbitration. His memberships and affiliations include the Egypt Bar Association, the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal Professionals, the European Criminal Bar Association, the Association of European Attorneys, the DIFC Courts, the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and ADGM. He works in Arabic and English.
