Acceptable Use
Last updated: May 17, 2026
Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all users of the LEXAI platform — clients, lawyers, and administrators. By using LEXAI, you agree to comply with this policy.
Platform Integrity
To maintain the trust and reliability of the LEXAI directory:
- No fake profiles — Every account must represent a real person or registered entity
- No impersonation — Do not pretend to be another person, lawyer, or entity
- No false credentials — Lawyers must provide accurate and verifiable professional credentials, Emirates ID numbers, bar licence details, and DIFC/ADGM registration numbers. Submitting falsified documents is grounds for immediate and permanent ban.
- No misleading information — Profile details, experience claims, fee amounts, and availability must be truthful and current
Communication Rules
When communicating through LEXAI:
- No harassment, bullying, threats, discrimination, or abusive language toward any user
- No spam, unsolicited marketing, or repeated unrelated messages to other users
- All messages and content must be appropriate for a professional legal services environment
- Lawyers must keep professional interactions with clients found through LEXAI within the bounds of these rules and the Lawyer Terms
AI Usage Rules
When using LEXAI's AI tools:
- Do not attempt to use AI features to generate content that substitutes for professional legal consultation. AI tools provide general legal information, not advice.
- Do not upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content for AI analysis
- Do not generate fraudulent legal documents, fake credentials, or misleading legal content
- Do not submit AI-generated content as human-written professional advice without review and verification
- Do not use AI tools to circumvent platform rules or policies
Lawyer-Specific Rules
Lawyers on the LEXAI platform must:
- Maintain valid, non-expired professional credentials at all times. Expired documents will trigger automatic account suspension until renewed documents are uploaded and verified.
- Respond to client inquiries received through your LEXAI profile within 12 hours. Failing to respond may deprioritise your profile in search and AI-match results.
- Provide accurate fee information on your profile — the consultation fee shown must match what you actually charge
- Not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or areas of practice
Client-Specific Rules
Clients on the LEXAI platform must:
- Provide truthful case descriptions when contacting lawyers or using AI tools
- Treat lawyers and other users with professional respect
- Honour scheduled consultations or notify the lawyer in advance if you can't attend
UAE Cybercrime Law sensitivities
Use of LEXAI takes place from within, or in relation to, the United Arab Emirates. Content posted on the platform — reviews, profile copy, messages between users, AI-tool prompts, and uploaded documents — is subject to UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combating Rumours and Cybercrimes. The official UAE government overview of this law is published at https://u.ae/en/information-and-services/justice-safety-and-the-law/handling-the-cybercrimes.
The following are prohibited on LEXAI and may also constitute offences under the Cybercrime Law:
- Defamation, insult, or content that damages the reputation of any individual, lawyer, law firm, judicial body, government authority, or other entity — even if the statement is truthful. Comparative claims that disparage a named competitor are not permitted in reviews, profiles, or AI prompts intended for publication.
- Publishing or sharing another person's private data, photographs, identification documents, family details, or correspondence without their explicit consent.
- Posting rumours, fabricated news, or unverified allegations about persons, businesses, public officials, or state institutions.
- Content that incites hatred, discrimination, sectarianism, or that offends religion, public morals, or UAE state symbols.
- Using the platform to plan, facilitate, or solicit any activity that is unlawful under UAE federal or emirate-level law.
Reports of suspected cybercrime activity in the UAE should be made to the competent authorities through the official channels listed at https://u.ae/en/information-and-services/justice-safety-and-the-law/handling-the-cybercrimes (including eCrime services operated by Dubai Police and the Ministry of Interior). You may also flag content inside LEXAI for admin review using the in-platform reporting features, or email info@lexaidxb.com. LEXAI cooperates with lawful requests from UAE authorities in accordance with applicable law.
Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in account suspension or permanent ban at the discretion of the LEXAI admin team.
