My employer cancelled my visa before I could file an MOHRE complaint — what now?

سأله Anonymous·13 أبريل 2026·1 إجابات
Termination was effective Sunday. By Wednesday morning my Emirates ID was already showing cancelled in ICP and my labour card was deactivated. I had not yet filed the MOHRE complaint for unpaid commissions of about AED 38,000. Can I still complain or do I need to leave the country first?

Visa cancellation does not extinguish your right to file. MOHRE accepts complaints from terminated employees during the grace period (30 days standard, 60 days for some categories) and your file is processed regardless of residency status as long as the employment relationship was registered. File immediately at MOHRE — they will issue a referral to the labour court if conciliation fails. Keep every document: commission statements, signed targets, emails confirming the figures.
