Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LEXAI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Platform Description

LEXAI is a marketplace that connects clients with verified lawyers in the United Arab Emirates. LEXAI is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. All legal services are provided by independent, licensed lawyers who use our platform.

LEXAI facilitates:

  • Lawyer discovery and profile browsing
  • AI-powered legal information tools (general information only, not legal advice)
  • Consultation booking and scheduling
  • Secure payment processing in AED via Stripe
  • Real-time messaging between clients and lawyers

Account Types

LEXAI supports the following account types:

  • Client — Free to create. Access to lawyer directory, AI assistant (with usage quota), consultation booking, and messaging.
  • Lawyer — Three plan tiers: Starter (free), Growth (AED 149/month), and Pro (AED 299/month). Each tier provides different levels of visibility, AI tools, and platform features.
  • Firm Admin — Manages a law firm's team, billing, lead routing, and firm profile. Firm plans: Firm Starter, Firm Growth, and Firm Pro.
  • Admin — Platform administrators who manage approvals, disputes, content, and platform settings.

Booking and Consultation Flow

The consultation process works as follows:

1. Client submits a booking request to a lawyer, selecting consultation type (Zoom, phone, or in-person) and preferred time 2. The lawyer has 12 hours to accept or decline the request. If no response, the booking expires automatically. 3. Once accepted, the client receives a payment link and has 24 hours to pay via Stripe 4. After payment, the consultation is confirmed. Consultations happen externally — via Zoom, phone, or in-person — not within the LEXAI platform. 5. After the consultation, the lawyer marks it as complete 6. A 24-hour dispute window opens. If no dispute is raised, the lawyer's payout is approved.

All consultation fees are in AED. LEXAI deducts a commission from the lawyer's fee before the payout is approved. Actual bank transfer of payouts is pending Stripe Connect activation.

Payments

  • All payments are processed in AED (UAE Dirhams) via Stripe
  • LEXAI deducts a platform commission from each consultation fee. Commission rates vary by lawyer plan tier.
  • After the 24-hour dispute window passes without a dispute, the lawyer's payout is approved by the platform
  • Actual transfer of funds to lawyer bank accounts is pending Stripe Connect integration. Until then, payouts are tracked and approved within the platform.
  • Subscription payments for lawyer and firm plans are billed monthly via Stripe
  • Refund policy applies as described in our Refund Policy page

Disputes

If a client is dissatisfied with a consultation:

  • The client may raise a dispute within 24 hours of the lawyer marking the consultation as complete
  • When a dispute is raised, the lawyer's payout is frozen
  • LEXAI's admin team reviews the dispute and aims to resolve it within 48 hours
  • Three possible outcomes: client wins (full refund issued), lawyer wins (payout released), or split resolution (partial refund)
  • Both parties are notified of the outcome via email and in-app notification

Account Suspension and Bans

LEXAI administrators may suspend or ban your account for:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Submitting false credentials or documents
  • Repeated complaints from other users
  • Non-payment of subscription fees

Suspended users cannot access their dashboard or any portal features. Banned users are permanently removed from the platform.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. The process requires:

  • Entering your password
  • Typing "DELETE" as confirmation

Account deletion is blocked if you have active consultations (pending, upcoming, or in dispute). Resolve those first.

After confirmation, your account enters a 30-day grace period as required by UAE PDPL. After 30 days, all your data is permanently deleted — including your profile, documents, notifications, reviews, AI chat sessions, and authentication record. You may re-register with the same email address after deletion.

LEXAI's AI features — including Situation Analyzer, Smart Matching, Document Analysis, Legal Research, and other AI tools — provide general legal information only. They do not constitute legal advice.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. LEXAI does not guarantee the accuracy of any AI output. Always consult a qualified, licensed lawyer before making legal decisions.

Limitation of Liability

LEXAI is a marketplace platform. We are not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or outcome of legal services provided by lawyers on our platform. The relationship between client and lawyer is direct — LEXAI is not a party to that relationship.

LEXAI is not liable for any losses or damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content, lawyer advice, or any other information available on the platform.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
