About the LEXAI AI Legal Assistant
What it does
LEXAI's AI legal assistant is trained on UAE federal laws, decrees, and cabinet resolutions. Ask any UAE legal question in English or Arabic and you get a plain-language answer in seconds, with references to the relevant statutes when the question can be grounded in the corpus.
Topics it can answer
Common areas include UAE labour law (termination, gratuity, leave), rent and tenancy disputes, traffic fines and violations, family matters such as divorce and custody, and business setup on the mainland or in free zones. If a UAE federal law, decree, or resolution governs it, you can ask about it.
How to ask a good question
Type your question — labour, family, real estate, corporate, criminal, civil, immigration, or any UAE legal area. State the facts in 2–4 sentences. The clearer the facts, the tighter the answer. The assistant searches its corpus, summarises the rules that apply, and shows which articles back the answer.
What it cannot do
This is general legal information, not legal advice. The assistant cannot represent you, assess your specific facts in detail, draft binding documents, or replace a licensed advocate. For anything you intend to act on, consult a verified UAE-licensed lawyer from our directory.
Your questions stay private
We do not share your chat with lawyers, sell it, or use it for marketing. Chat history is retained for 12 months for your reference, then auto-purged per UAE PDPL. You can delete a session at any time from your account.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the AI legal assistant free?
- Yes. Asking questions is free for clients — you only need a free account, and a fair-use daily limit keeps the service available to everyone.
- Are the answers legal advice?
- No. The assistant provides general legal information based on published UAE legislation. It does not assess your specific situation, and nothing it says creates a lawyer-client relationship.
- Can I ask in Arabic?
- Yes. The assistant understands and answers in both English and Arabic, and points to the same underlying UAE statutes in either language.
- What if my matter is complex or urgent?
- Use the assistant to understand the rules, then take your case to a UAE legal professional. Licensed advocates in the LEXAI directory are licence-verified and carry the Verified badge, so you can book a consultation with confidence.
